WHAT TYPE OF VEHICLE DO YOU HAVE TO HOMOLOGATE?
MOTORBIKE
Wheels
Suspensions
Lightning
It is necessary to homologate:
- Handlebars and rearview mirrors.
- License plate holder and footrests.
- Seats and protectors.
- Fuel tanks.
- Subframe cutouts.
- Fairings.
- Speedometers.
It is necessary to homologate:
- Changes that affect the exhaust geometry from the last silencer.
- Collectors, catalytic converters or silencers (within Directives 96/20/EC or 98/77/EC.)
It is necessary to homologate:
- Larger brake discs
- Striped, ventilated or perforated.
- Metal hoses or larger brake calipers.
- A braking test is essential .
TOURISM
Wheels and tires
It is necessary to homologate:
- Replacing tires with non-equivalent ones.
- Decrease in load and speed indices.
- External diameter variation by 3% tolerance.
- Exceed 60 mm in width.
- Wheel goes over side body.
- Double-centered separators.
Suspensions
It is necessary to homologate:
- Springs that vary the height of the vehicle.
- Height-adjustable threaded body suspensions.
- Air suspensions.
- Suspensions with separate bottle shock absorbers.
- Affects the braking system, through the ECS.
Exhaust line
It is necessary to homologate:
- Exhaust changes from the last silencer.
- Collectors, catalysts, silencers.
- If the tails exceed 1cm from the most protruding part of the bumper.
It is NOT necessary to homologate: trims or exhaust tips.
Braking system
It is necessary to homologate:
- Larger brake discs
- Striped, ventilated or perforated.
- Metal hoses or larger brake calipers.
- A braking test is essential.
Bodywork
It is necessary to homologate:
- Bumpers, skirts, side skirts.
- Fins or stretching of the original fins.
- Spoilers, hood, sunroofs.
- Air inlets.
- Removal of rear lock, smoothing of side mouldings.
Inside
The steering wheel can only be changed if the original does not have an airbag so as not to reduce safety.
It will be necessary to approve:
- If the diameter varies more than 10%.
- If a spacer or separator pineapple is installed.
Historical
- The vehicle must be at least 30 years old from its date of manufacture
- It must be kept in original condition or restored to its original condition
- It offers numerous advantages given the pollution restrictions in Spain.
Swap
- If a power increase greater than 30% is made, a braking test must be performed.
- Depending on the swap, mechanical components such as the braking system and gearbox may also need to be replaced.
Lightning
It is necessary to homologate:
- Daytime running lights.
- Pair of long-range headlights.
- Brake light.
- Fog lights.
VAN
Camper
Various modifications can be approved to convert the vehicle into a camper, including furniture, electrical and gas installations, as well as comfort elements such as a bed, shower, kitchen and pop-up roof.

Wheels and spacers
It is necessary to homologate:
- If the tire exceeds + 3% diameter variation.
- If the load and speed indices are lower than the original.
- If the track width exceeds 3% of tolerances.
- Protrudes from the wheel arch.
- If it has separators.
Suspensions
It is necessary to homologate:
- Springs that alter the system.
- Elastic elements that are modified.
- Height-adjustable threaded body suspensions.
- Suspensions with separate bottle shock absorbers.
- Air suspensions.
Exhaust line
It is necessary to homologate:
-Changes that influence the exhaust configuration from the last silencer.
- Collectors, catalysts or silencers.
- The tails must not exceed 1cm from the most protruding part of the bumper.
Braking system
It is necessary to homologate:
- Larger brake discs.
- Striped, ventilated or perforated.
- Metal brake lines or larger brake calipers.
A braking test is essential.
Bodywork
It is necessary to homologate:
- Bumpers (without sharp edges)
- skirts, side skirts and running boards.
- Fins or stretching of the original fins.
- Spoilers, sunroofs.
- Air inlets.
- Winch (with documentation).
Interior (seats)
We can only legalize seats that have homologation documentation, which use the vehicle's original anchors.
If the vehicle is equipped with airbags in the seats, it will not be possible to install other seats with airbags.
Interior (steering wheel)
The steering wheel can only be changed if the original does not have an airbag, so as not to reduce safety.
It will be necessary to approve:
- If the diameter varies more than 10%.
- If a spacer or spacer piece is installed.
Trailer
